Hi all

Peter Stranks is opening our fall season with a hands-on presentation exploring different techniques for drawing out your creativity. His session is designed to start you "making" photographs instead of "taking" photographs. By looking at yourself and your experiences, he will help you to begin developing a personal vision to guide your photography. He will explore assignments you can give yourself that involve photography and other disciplines (such as poetry, music, etc).

Peter is a Toronto-based photographer living in Orillia. He combines extensive commercial photographic experience in advertising and the film industry with strong skills and experience as an educator. Currently, Peter is a Professor in the Digital Photography Program at Georgian College. His work has been exhibited at the Orillia Museum of Art and History and his work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum.
See his images attached to the e-mail and the pdf description of the program.

Come on the 14th, bring your camera, be prepared to be inspired and motivated for a great fall season.

At the meeting, we will as well review the program for 2011-12, plan outings and workshops for the fall, and renew our memberships.

We continue to meet in the Helping Hands Board Room, behind Theo's restaurant. The address is:

Helping Hands, Orillia
126B - 210 Memorial Ave.
Orillia ON L3V 7V1
Enter from the Rear Entrance.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 14th.
