Hi all

In 20011, Margaret and I visited northern Yunnan province in China to explore the mountains and seek out the many wildflowers in the region.  Yunnan has almost 40% of all the the wildflowers in China and is a botanist's dreamworld. While there, we discovered the old towns and minority cultures of Yunnan.  Yunnan is also an area in transition. New superhighways are opening it up to tourism  and the land may not be the same tin ten years. Come and see a slideshow on Yunnan: its Mountains, People and Wildflowers.

As well, we will show a short slideshow of the historical and cultural highlights of Beijing, Guilin and Xian.

The presentation will take place at St. George's Anglican Church, Fair Valley at 7:00 pm April 29th..  The Church is located at 66 Fair Valley Church Road in Oro-Medonte.  Church Road is off Line 11 North, between Mt. St. Louis Road and Warminster Side Road.  If you are coming from Orillia, take Horseshoe Valley Road to the 11 Side Road, pass Warminster Road and watch for Church Road on your left.
