Photodex Slideshows

Richard Smith has invited the ODCC to see his Video Slideshows at Photodex.


His message to the club is as follows:


Here are the detailed instructions for viewing my China shows on the web.


Let me know if you have any problems understanding these instructions or  
following them.


It won't work on a MAC, unless you also have Windows installed as either  
Windows Boot Camp or Parallels.


Read all instructions below first! It is actually not as complex as it  
sounds!


You might want to print them out before you go to the web site.

Click on the "Link" under the thumbnail above.


Once you are in the Photodex web site, click on the thumbnail.

to install this plug-in




It is a small, perfectly safe viewer file. You only have to download this  
once.


After the plug-in is installed, right click inside the thumbnail to see the  
controls for playing, such as Full Screen to enlarge for easier viewing.  
Then choose Play.


Make sure you turn on the sound.


At any time you can pause or go forward or back using the controls that  
will appear at the bottom of the screen by hovering the mouse over the show  
or by right clicking during Play. Works like YouTube.


Sometimes the show doesn't play smoothly at first as it is downloading the  
file to your computers' buffer. If this happens, pause the show using  
the "II" control at the bottom left hand corner once you hover over the  
show. This will allow the show to complete downloading. Then you can hit  
the play bottom (solid > at the bottom left hand corner once you hover over  
the show).


After viewing the first show you can click on Richard Smith's Gallery at  
the top right of the screen and then navigate down to the China 2012 Album  
to see the other shows - Xian, Shanghai, Yangtze River, etc.


You can also view other shows in the various Albums, such as Scotland,  
British Columbia, Canada Day (the Midway and Fireworks and Snowbirds shows  
are kinda neat), etc.
