Hi all

You may want to look into the Carden Nature Festival this year.  The Festival has a wide range of workshops, including sessions on wildflower photography and wildlife and bird photography.  The Carden Alvar is one of the best place in Ontario to see "alvar ecology" and explore grasslands and prairie flowers.  Check out the web site linkage below.
