[Members] Photo Challenge 2012 - 2013

Hello,

PLEASE NOTE: ATTACHED is a PDF A-Z PHOTO IDEAS. 

I have taken on the position, Photo Challenge Coordinator for the Orillia Camera Club. For me, this position means coming up with ideas for 2012- 2013 to help stimulate and support the members towards creative ideas, interactive fun, and promoting your courage zone. At the Sept meeting: all will be demonstrated in detail  OR, feel free to email me and I will answer any questions.

Here is the basic for photo challenge for 2012 - - 2013:

1. Attached is a pdf list of A-Z photo ideas
2. You can take these pictures ANYTIME you like, ANYWHERE you like. (take the list with you on any outings)
3. Club Monthly Meetings:  only certain photos using certain letters will be shown at each meeting. Example: Sept Meeting = A-C (see A-Z photo list)
YES, you can bring in any other photo but the idea is to challenge yourself and get away from the norm (ie landscape, flower, bird, etc)
4. Bring in a  (A-Z) photo to show and your name will be entered into a draw. (Two pictures per meeting per member. We want to make sure we can get to everyone). If you submit two pictures, you are entered into the draw twice. If you submit one pictures, you are entered into the draw once. And, if you enter zero, you got it, no name into the draw. The draw will take place at the AGM meeting in June.
5. Each meeting photo challenge will also have a further component. If you wish, you can have either a technical viewpoint towards your images, or a compositional viewpoint towards your images.
6. Please use a USB stick to bring in your pictures. Clearly mark your images as such: PhotoChallenge A_C_HopeHerbst_01, PhotoChallenge A_C_HopeHerbst_02,  and so on: PhotoChallenge D_F_HopeHerbst_01, PhotoChallenge D_F_HopeHerbst_02.  This will really support the individual looking for your pictures either on the USB stick or in an image file.


Here is what will take place for viewpoint /technical or compositional support: 

a) You decide and let the executive know (whoever is showing the pictures) 
		1. if you want technical support viewpoint (included is your name entered into the draw) 
		2. OR, composition support viewpoint (included is your name entered into the draw) 
		3. OR, just your picture shown to the members (and included is your name entered into the draw.)
b) If you decide on technical,  the membership in attendance will be given a information sheet with some yes or no questions to answer concerning technical support. OR, if you decide on compositional support,  the membership in attendance will be given a information sheet with some yes or no questions to answer concerning compositional support. This will take approximately 15 − 20 seconds to fill out in total by the members. You will be given these viewpoint sheets to review at the end of the 15 − 20 seconds. (These are support viewpoints).  Learning is best applied when a participant is actively involved in both the teaching and the doing.)
c) No matter what you decide, as long as you show a picture you get a chance in the draw.

a) December - take the following pictures (Humorous, sad, scary, dramatic or caution)  ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, then select your 2 favourites and submit them by November 25. More details to follow.
