Hello Everyone:
 
I have a quick question for the Canon users. 
 
My dad sent me a text asking me what lenses would be good for an amateur/hobbyist photographer.  This lens will be a Christmas gift, the person he is buying it for has a 600D.  He believes they have the 50mm(Kit)  and wanted to get them another one that was affordable.
 
I suggested the 70-300 as it gives them a bit of zoom to play around with and its not overly expensive.  I don't know a lot about Canon but when I did a search it said the 600D supported both EF and EF-S lenses. (I don't know what that means) and when I have more time will have to research it.  
 
Any suggestions would be wonderful and I'll pass them along.
