Hello ODCC Gang, I received this list of documentary films that would be of
interest to photographers and I wanted to pass this information on to all
of you

Hot Docs, North America's largest documentary festival, is pleased to
present its 20 th edition from April 25 – May 5 in theatres across Toronto.

I have done some research and I believe these films about photography might
interest you:

Celebrated filmmaker and photographer Cheryl Dunn turns her lens on the
most infamous and influential of New York's street photographers in a
behind-the-scenes look at the masters who, over six decades, have defined
the art form.

The Ghosts in Our Machine

Award-winning photographer Jo-Anne McArthur sets out to capture the
sentience of animals through stunning images that contrast their
intelligence, quirks and personalities with their brutal treatment as
property in factory farms and other industries.

New Life of a Family Album

In this award-winning love letter to his family, the filmmaker trolls his
mother's and five sisters' memories, home movies and intuitions to try to
discover his father's reasons for abandoning them.Spring & Arnaud

At 60, artist Spring Hurlbut is focused on mysterious photographs that
evoke mortality. Arnaud Maggs, at 86, is putting his life's work in order.
Spring & Arnaud is a breathtakingly tender portrait of two artists, their
work and their love.Which Way Is The Front Line From Here? The Life and
Time of Tim Hetherington
http://www.hotdocs.ca/film/title/which_way_is_the_front_line_from_here_the_life_and_time_of_tim_hetherington

In April 2011, filmmaker and photographer Tim Hetherington was killed
covering the Libyan civil war. In an intimate portrait by those closest to
him, he's revealed to be as much a humanitarian as he was an artist.
Chimeras

Wang Guangyi, international art star and founding father of Chinese
contemporary art, and Liu Gang, a promising young photographer, imagine a
world shaped by Eastern thought and culture without Western influence, and
wrestle to realize it.

Feel free to share this with anyone you may know in the Toronto area who
would be interested in seeing some quality documentaries.

Thank you for supporting the 20 th Annual Hot Docs Canadian International
Documentary Festival!
