New this year...and one that I am personally promoting is this piece since
it has so much value
In collaboration with Natures Photo Adventures, this year the Carden Nature
Festival is offering a premium workshop for all photographers out there,
Nature Photography 101/Birds in Flight with professional nature
photographer, David G. Hemmings.
As a wildlife/nature photographer, I have often been asked “how do you get
those great shots, you must have a really good camera?” Surprisingly they
learn that the camera gear used is only a small part of the photographic
experience. The other components include using the right camera settings
such as proper exposure, shutter speed, appropriate depth of field and
subject availability. When I was first learning photography, I attended one
of David Hemmings workshops hoping to learn how be a better photographer
and understand how to get those 'great shots'. It was the building blocks
of that workshop which helped me get to where I am today. Instead of just
pointing and shooting away, I learned to anticipate, plan and execute. The
frustration factor has diminished in direct proportion to confidence
gained. David's personal approach and his in-depth knowledge are the keys
to the success of his workshops. Even though the title of the workshop is
Nature Photography, any photographer with any camera will benefit from the
classroom theory and static displays of the raptors.
David Hemmings is a world- renowned bird and wildlife photographer. His
work is known throughout the nature photography world as some of the most
dynamic images anywhere today. For those looking for an exceptional
photographic learning experience and an action packed day, the 1-day
workshop combines Nature Photography 101 and Raptor Flight Workshops. This
workshop is ideal for those looking to learn all of the basics of bird and
nature photography as well as going out and shooting raptors in flight all
in the same day. This is a combined classroom and outdoor workshop. The
workshops will be on June 1 & 2, 2013 and there will be minimum and maximum
attendance requirements. Online registration available, hope to see you
there! http://www.cardennaturefestival.ca/
