March 1 - 7:30 pm - The Rotary Club of Bracebridge presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! at the Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre, 100 Clearbrook Trail, Bracebridge. Tickets are $25.00 each. March 2-Algonquin Wildlife Ski Tour, presented by Algonquin Park’s Wildlife Research Station   in cooperation with The Friends of Algonquin Park and Ontario Parks.  Event takes place @ Km 54 of Hwy 60 along the Leaf Ski Trail where participants can classic or ski skate on either the 6.6 or 16.6 km loop.  Park Naturalists and Researchers will be on hand for hands-on presentations on winter birds, hibernation, mammal tracking and radio telemetry.  Homemade chili lunch and draw prizes are included in registration.  Registration is required.  Cost is a valid Park permit + $10pp or $25p per family.  www.algonquinpark.on.ca

March 4-10--The Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club in partnership with Arrowhead Provincial Park will be hosting the 2013 Canadian Masters National Championship from March 4-10, 2013.

Foot, Professor, Department of Economics at the U of T, author of best selling Boom Bust & Echo books.  Dr. Warren Jestin, Scotiabank’s Chief Economist, has been with the bank since 1979.  He has worked at the Bank of Canada and taught at several Canadian Universities.  He is an Economist in Residence, College of Management & Economics, University of Guelph, and he has served on the advisory boards of the University of Guelph, and the Sobey School of Business at St. Mary’s University.  $1000 ticket is a sponsorship opportunity, entitling you to 2 tickets to this event plus  1 seat for breakfast the following morning @ The Old Station, hosted by the guest speakers. March 6—Economy of the World with Speaker Dr Warren Jestin will be speaking on economy of the world and how that in turn impacts the economy of Muskoka @ Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre, Bracebridge.  Event hosted by the  Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Rotary Clubs.  Joining Dr. Jestin is demographics expert David K. Foot, professor of economics @ University of Toronto and author of the best selling Boom, Bust and Echo books, who will be sharing his vision on the future . The speakers will ask each other questions after their individual talks, followed by audience questions.  Tickets $60.  The morning after the event, Foot & Jestin will join sponsors for breakfast @ the Old Station Restaurant in Bracebridge.

March 8--6:30 pm - Celebrating International Women's Day 3rd Annual Women in Film Festival. Refreshments will be provided at intermission by Savour Muskoka.
