                                2012 Banff Adventure Filmmakers Workshop

                                Wilderness Photography Workshop
                                Program dates: September 20-23, 2013
                                Application deadline: August 12, 2013
                                Faculty: Gordon Wiltsie, Paul Zizka

                                The Banff Wilderness Photography Workshop provides emerging and seasoned photographers with an opportunity to learn how to tell compelling visual narratives through images. Two internationally acclaimed landscape photographers will guide participants through classroom seminars, critique sessions, and outdoor fieldwork, with the assistance of a licensed Parks Canada interpreter. Participants will apply existing knowledge of their own photographic equipment and digital software to obtain the best results, and to enhance their skills. The sessions are intense and interactive, with the goal of highlighting personal shooting styles. The intent is to investigate the 'why' and 'what' rather than the 'how'. 

                                Adventure Filmmakers’ Workshop
                                Program dates: October 28 - November 4, 2013

                                The Adventure Filmmakers’ Workshop is an exceptional chance for independent and emerging filmmakers to turn their project into reality, under the guidance of two of the world’s premiere adventure filmmakers. During a jam-packed eight days, you’ll build relationships, network with fellow artists, and mingle with industry insiders and decision-makers, all within the core of the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival. Sessions will help you hone your vision, organize your workflow plan, develop audio, narrative, and editing techniques, and perfect your pitch. Days are packed with hands-on fieldwork, invaluable tips, and networking — and mandatory attendance at Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival events!
