Bonjour à tous(tes),
Je rentre d'Istanbul et de Paris. Istanbul pour préparer un voyage en Turquie qui aura lieu en avril l'an prochain, et de Paris où Manon Francœur et moi-même avons dirigé un voyage-atelier photo. Le voyage fut un succès. Vous trouverez des photos des participantes du voyage à Paris ICI .
Mardi passé, j'animais un atelier sur la photographie des tulipes au Festival de tulipes d'Ottawa. Celui-ci était offert en collaboration avec le photographe Harry Nowell d'Ottawa. Après une présentation théorique d'une heure, nous nous sommes déplacées sur le site du festival au lac Dow. Le temps était radieux et pas trop venteux. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à mettre en pratique les nouveaux concepts appris lors de la présentation. Les photos des participantes sont ICI.
La semaine prochaine j'offrirai, en anglais, un atelier sur la macrophotographie au studio de Harry. Ce cours est complet, mais vous pouvez mettre votre nom sur une liste d'attente. Il y a souvent des annulations de dernière minute. Veuillez noter que c'est le seul atelier de macrophotographie que j'offre cette année. Toutes les informations ICI.
Je suis heureuse d'annoncer que la campagne de financement de France Rivet pour son projet « Sur les traces d'Abraham Ulrikab » (auquel j'ai participé musicalement) a été un succès et qu'elle s'envolera vers Paris en juin afin de poursuivre ses recherches.
Il est grand temps de vous inscrire au Congrès canadien sur la photographie qui aura lieu à Fredericton au Nouveau-Brunswick du 28 au 30 juin prochain. Ne manquez pas cette occasion d'assister à une multitude de conférences très intéressantes et à participer à des ateliers passionnants. J'offrirai deux présentations différentes à ce congrès, en anglais et en français.
Trois ateliers auront lieu aux Jardins de Métis au cours de l'été. CAPTURING SPLENDOR, Photographing Plants and Gardens, du 4 au 7 juillet, est offert dans la langue de Shakespeare, alors que les ateliers CÔTÉ MER, CÔTÉ JARDINS auront lieu du 11 au 16, et du 18 au 23 août en français.

HISTORIC AND NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP ON THE DUMOINE RIVER sera offert en collaboration avec Wally Schaber du 6 au 9 septembre. J'ai très hâte de diriger ce nouvel atelier d'une semaine (en anglais), qui aura lieu dans le Pontiac. (Étant originaire du nord de l'Ontario, j'adore les endroits sauvages éloignés.) Deux personnes se sont retirées du voyage en TOSCANE de la fin septembre. Vous pouvez donc encore vous inscrire à ce voyage fantastique.
Le 1er décembre, c'est le départ pour HAWAI'I pour un voyage de deux semaines dans ces îles fabuleuses. Venez découvrir Hawaii, hors des sentiers battus !

Hi,
I'm glad to announce that a photo tour to Turkey will be held from April
6 to 19, 2014. This trip, organized in collaboration with Photo Life Magazine and Turkish Airlines promises to be an amazing experience. Turkey is considered to be one of the most photogenic countries in the world. Trip highlights include Istanbul's International Tulip Festival, bysantine splendour, the geological formations of Cappadocia, stunning architecture and ancient Roman ruins. Accomodations include historic Ottoman houses and a unique cave hotel carved from volcanic rock. Information will be on my website as well as Photolife's site at the beginning of June.
We had a great time during the Tulip Photography Workshop last Tuesday May 14. Eight women signed up. After a short theoretical presentation at Harry Nowell's studio in Ottawa, we headed out to Dow's Lake where we spent the next three hours shooting. Everyone was spirited and enthusiastic. We had good conversation over lunch at Dow's Lake afterward. Some of the participants' photographs are online HERE.
A Macrophotography Workshop will be held at Harry's studio from May 27 to 29. The course is full, but you can put your name on a waiting list. There are often last-minute cancellations.

It's still time to register for the Canadian Camera Conference in Fredericton, New-Brunswick which will be held from June 28 to 30. Don't miss this opportunity to attend a variety of great lectures and participate in exciting workshops.

This is a three and a half day workshop photographing historic sites along the Dumoine River, Western Quebec's best known and most loved wild Heritage river.
I am actually in the process of organizing a Namaqualand Photo Tour for August 2014. I will keep you posted!
