Subject: Photograph bald eagles up close and personal in a true northern wilderness setting.
Introducing the Red Rock Nipigon Eagle Photo Safari – a guided 5 day all inclusive wildlife photography wilderness adventure on the Nipigon River.
The package has been designed to provide photographers of all skill levels an excellent opportunity to observe and photograph the bald eagle in a true wilderness setting.
Accommodations are provided at The Lodge in Red Rock, Ontario. The Lodge is a wonderful historic (circa 1937) log structure on Lake Superior with one of the
finest views on the north shore.
The eagles have landed in northern Ontario and the Nipigon River is a prime location to photograph these magnificent birds. For a five week period beginning the last week of
September until the end of October the eagles descend upon the Nipigon River in large numbers to feast on the salmon during the fall spawning run.
The large number of eagles congregating along the river provides a unique opportunity to observe and photograph the bald eagles as they hunt, forage and interact in competition for food.
Eagles in all color phases from juvenile to adult are present in the area to add variety to your photographic opportunities.
This package is being offered through the partnership of wildlife photographer Gary Blake and Ray Rivard, owner of The Lodge in Red Rock, Ontario.
Complete package details are available on both respective websites:
http://www.photographybygaryblake.com/default1.htm
http://nipigonriveradventures.com/red-rock-nipigon-eagle-photo-safari/
There is a short introductory video (30 seconds) and a longer (15 minute) video posted on both sites.
The longer video is composed primarily from still photography taken on the Nipigon River by Gary Blake and provides a sampling of what you can expect to see on this unique photography adventure trip.
I trust that you will find that the contents of this email will be of interest to members of your photography club who are interested in wildlife photography.
Please feel free to share this email with colleagues who may be interested.
(PS I will be available for presentations on the subject in the Toronto area from August to approx. September 15, 2013)
Sincerely,
Gary Blake
