[Members] Camera contributions for young girl

Hello everyone,

We have been contacted by a kind member who wishes to donate their Canon
EOS Rebel T3/1100D, a kit with 18-55mm, a 55-250, and a 50 mm lenses - all
with a protective UV filters.  There is also a spare battery, and the
original manual, dated 2011, and the pocketbook - all in a well-padded
Lowepro bag.  All barely used.

This member also made the excellent suggestion that the money collected
could be put instead toward a laptop or refurbished desktop, which would
not only be great for all that post-processing she will now be doing, but
that all the children could have fun with again. The money has not yet been
collected, as I was going to gather the contributions at the next meeting
in January. If all the contributors are happy with this, I will proceed to
look into finding a great deal here. Again, if there is some money
contributed beyond the price of the computer, I will put it toward those
little extras that make a difference, like a lens pen, or perhaps a small
portable hard drive for back-up. Note that I will give all receipts to John.

If a member has just read about this matter, and would still like to
contribute, please do contact me, as I will be looking into computers now
for a bit before the purchase.

I would certainly like to express my deep and sincere gratitude to this
anonymous member for their very generous gift, and to all you who have
contacted me regarding this. You have already brought me to tears--I can
only imagine how she and her family will feel.
