Merry greetings, fellow photographers!

I checked around last night and this morning, and I have purchased a
laptop. It is an Acer Aspire 15.6" with 320 GB HDD and 2GB RAM. I found it
for $299 at one shop, but they were sold out. I went to Future Shop, told
them the situation and they price-matched a similar model for me, even
though I didn't have the model number, and also added a 3-set of the new
Lenspens for half price ($30 for $15). Apparently because shops get a lot
of requests for donations, they are a lot of rules from head office about
just how much they can do (which isn't much), so that was pretty good of
them.

Total came to $363.53. Total contributions spoken: $330. If someone else is
interested, there's still a chance to hop on. Another possibility is adding
a toonie to your contribution. Or whatever you would like. In any event,
let me know, and as soon as we hit the total, I'll send out an email to let
you know the good news :)

I will keep you posted on how it goes getting it to her. Will get photos,
of course :)
