                  The BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition is geared towards photographers creating inspiring and powerful imagery about nature, wildlife and science — photographers like you.

                  With a total of over $20,000 in cash and prizes, the competition’s grand prize includes $5,000 cash and $2,000 of photography gear. The winning photos will be featured in an exhibit on the Academy’s museum public floor from August 1 – November 2, 2014.

                  Our panel of esteemed judges is comprised of international photographers, photo editors and conservationists: Daniel Beltrá (Madrid, Spain), Clay Bolt (Easley, South Carolina), Tui De Roy (South Island, New Zealand), David Liittschwager (San Francisco, California), Kathy Moran (Washington D.C.), Klaus Nigge (Lünen, Germany), Thomas Peschak (Cape Town, South Africa), Ian Shive (Los Angeles, California), and Jury Chair Suzi Eszterhas (San Francisco, California).
