Does everyone always swoon over your photography?
How do I get better if I'm so great already?
Does nobody have anything negative to say?
I'm looking for constructive criticism and I think I can handle it ......
The answer to your development may be easier than you thought.
MEET THE SHARK TANK!
Light Stalking has a forum designed to get you to step up your photography
game and advance your skill level.
Ready to dive in?
This critical review forum is like no other I've seen. It has etiquette and
rules and is designed to provide negative feedback in a positive manner.
----------------
How good is your nature photography? No, how good is it REALLY?
It's actually a pretty difficult question to answer.
You see, there are some fantastic online communities like Flickr and 500px
to get feedback on your photographs, but there is a hugely overwhelming
culture on those sites to only talk about how great each other's
photographs are.
Don't get us wrong, it's wonderful to hear how great you are and that
you're practically the next Ansel Adams or Dorothea Lange. The problem is
that usually this simply isn't true and it actually makes it very difficult
for newer photographers to find out exactly where they can improve each of
their shots.
Well, This Is How to Find Out Where to Improve
This is what we have come up with.
You know how we asked you if you had ever watched the Shark Tank on TV last
time we spoke?
Well we have put together a special place on Light Stalking where we try to
emulate this for photography.
The Light Stalking Shark Tank is a place where you will ONLY be able to get
constructive negative criticism on your photographs. In fact, positive
comments are banned from that forum (you still need to be friendly, but
this is where you find out where to improve, not where you go to boost your
ego).
So, if you really want to find out where to improve a specific photograph,
head over to the Shark Tank right now and post it up with a bit of
information about the shot (make sure you read the Shark Tank rules first).
See you in the tank!
The Team,
Light Stalking
