SUMMARY:2025 Gathering of the Classics
DESCRIPTION:ECAF looks forward to holding the Gathering once again on its usual date of the first Saturday after the August long weekend. This year that is August 9\, 2025 with August 10\, 2025 as a rain date. \nThe Gathering is the largest Canadian Classic Aircraft and Classic car event. We invite all classic and interesting aircraft and cars to the event. We will have flights available in aircraft and helicopters. Food vendors will ensure lunch is available and a variety of vendors will offer interesting items for purchase. \nThe Avro Arrow full size replica and the Arrow museum will be open for the Gathering as well.

SUMMARY:43rd Annual Vintage Boat Show and Classic Car Show
DESCRIPTION:This is a great opportunity to photograph classic boats and cars!\nVisit the link to the organizers website for more information about the days schedule\, parking and shuttle buses. \n\nThis July the 43rd Vintage boat show is back stronger than ever. The 2023 show brought out an impressive variety of boats\, enthusiastic participants and excited crowds. Following last year’s cancellation\, this year as we add backing more events and activities all signs indicate that we will certainly exceed previous attendance. The show will have two days of activities for members\, participants and the public. \nThe public are invited to attend this FREE show with plenty to see and do on the Waterfront and Sports Field. We are expecting a great turnout of boats\, both wood and glass\, filling the slips at the docks with a strong complement of watercraft being displayed on land. \nNew this year is the Vintage and Classic Car Show being held in the Sports Field adjacent to Muskoka Wharf. This event is being organized by the Muskoka Motor Club.

DESCRIPTION:There will be a total solar eclipse on April 8\, 2024\, the last for North America until 2044. It will not be total in Orillia but is total in Hamilton and Niagara Falls to the west and Picton\, Kingston\, Belleville and Brockville to the east. \nHamilton is the closest\, 185 km and 2 hours. \nHere are some articles on how to photograph it. You can order mylar film to put on your camera lens from Amazon but check that it is the thickness recommended by NASA. You can also buy eclipse glasses from Amazon.
