DESCRIPTION:Join us at 7:30 pm in the multi-purpose room at the Orillia Recreation Centre. \nDavid Kennedy will present on: \n\nWhy B&W photography continues to be an important art form.\nHow easy it is with the modern mirrorless cameras and ways to convert your colour RAW file to black and white.\nHow to utilize infrared for unique B&W images. David has a mirrorless camera that has been converted to infrared only and he will review how he uses this camera and how to process infrared raw files into B&W.\n\n \nDavid enjoys both colour and B&W photography but some of his favourite images are in B&W. David is a past-president of the Orillia Camera Club and the Toronto Focal Forum. He has exhibited at local galleries and participated in the Images Studio Tour and Coldwater Art Tour. He is presently recognized as a master level photographer in the Richmond Hill Camera Club. \nMany of David’s stunning images are taken locally in Orillia\, Oro Medonte and surrounding areas. He was formerly President of the Copeland Forest Friends and many of his images are taken from there. His photography is an extension of his passion for the natural environment and the beauty of the world. \nWe hope you will join us! DESCRIPTION:ECAF looks forward to holding the Gathering once again on its usual date of the first Saturday after the August long weekend. This year that is August 9\, 2025 with August 10\, 2025 as a rain date. \nThe Gathering is the largest Canadian Classic Aircraft and Classic car event. We invite all classic and interesting aircraft and cars to the event. We will have flights available in aircraft and helicopters. SUMMARY:43rd Annual Vintage Boat Show and Classic Car Show
DESCRIPTION:This is a great opportunity to photograph classic boats and cars!\nVisit the link to the organizers website for more information about the days schedule\, parking and shuttle buses. \n\nThis July the 43rd Vintage boat show is back stronger than ever. The 2023 show brought out an impressive variety of boats\, enthusiastic participants and excited crowds. Following last year’s cancellation\, this year as we add backing more events and activities all signs indicate that we will certainly exceed previous attendance. The show will have two days of activities for members\, participants and the public. \nThe public are invited to attend this FREE show with plenty to see and do on the Waterfront and Sports Field. We are expecting a great turnout of boats\, both wood and glass\, filling the slips at the docks with a strong complement of watercraft being displayed on land. \nNew this year is the Vintage and Classic Car Show being held in the Sports Field adjacent to Muskoka Wharf. This event is being organized by the Muskoka Motor Club.

She enjoys integrating her interests in Canadian history and nature into her photography. The presentation “Ghost Towns and Grain Elevators of Southern Saskatchewan” is a product of a traveling adventure south of the Trans Canada Highway 1. She explores the sparsely populated land south of Regina\, including the Red Coat Trail and delves into what remains of these once booming communities on the Saskatchewan prairie. While photography can convey the expansive sky and the haunting beauty of a disappearing cultural landscape\, so too can it cause us to reflect on the struggles\, resilience and perseverance of the people who came to make a better life in the bread basket of Canada. \n\nEveryone is invited to join us Wednesday April 9th in the multi-purpose room of the Orillia Rec Centre. DESCRIPTION:Beyond the Landscape Snapshot: Landscape Photography That Evokes Emotion\n \nPresenter: Eric Drumm \nEric is a landscape and travel photographer\, based in Horseshoe Valley\, Ontario\, passionate about photographing the world\, “from near and far”. Since retirement\, Eric has rekindled his interest in photography and has expanded his portfolio through travels across Canada and the USA\, the UK and Europe\, as well as Australia and New Zealand. However many images are made closer to home\, where the beauty of Central Ontario and Cottage Country landscapes present many wonderful photographic opportunities.\nIn addition to selling his work to clients in Canada and the USA\, his work has been licensed to several Canadian magazines including Dockside Magazine and the British Columbia Ferries magazine. He has edited several books and magazines published by the World Best Top Photographer Association (WBTPA)\, an international group of photographers.\nHe has shown images at two exhibitions in the Stadtsmuseum Harderwijk\, Netherlands as well as at three photography exhibitions in Moscow.\nEric has previously served as President of the Barrie Photo Club\, and he is currently the President of the Richmond Hill Camera Club. \n\nEveryone is invited to join us Wednesday April 9th in the multi-purpose room of the Orillia Rec Centre.
